Long Branch GO is open and in-service for customers. We’re working to upgrade Long Branch GO to ensure barrier-free access for customers. Currently trains at Long Branch GO can't deploy ramps from the train to the platform, and the station doesn’t have a step-free route between platforms and street level.

In the meantime, while Long Branch GO does not have step-free access, please use Union Station or Port Credit GO as accessible alternatives.

Here’s what you need to know to plan an accessible trip:

Connecting to/from Union Station:

  • Eligible customers can book an accessible trip via TTC Wheel-Trans to/from Union Station or Union Station Bus Terminal.
  • Customers not eligible for TTC Wheel-Trans should use conventional TTC services to/from Union Station.

Connecting to/from Port Credit GO:

  • Eligible customers in Toronto can book an accessible trip via TTC Wheel-Trans to/from Long Branch Loop. Customers can use MiWay Bus Route #23 – Lakeshore to travel between Long Branch Loop and Port Credit GO, in either direction.
  • Eligible customers in Mississauga can book an accessible trip via TransHelp to/from Port Credit GO.
  • Customers who are not eligible for TTC Wheel-Trans or TransHelp should use conventional TTC and/or MiWay services.

Eligible customers who need specialized transportation services for the entirety of a cross-boundary trip between Toronto and Mississauga must transfer between TransHelp and TTC Wheel-Trans via the specialized regional transfer point at Kipling Subway Station, located at 27 St Albans Road. Customers will need to pre-book each travel segment on both services with a minimum of a 30-minute travel window.

Customers can use TTC, TTC Wheel-Trans and MiWay to travel for free with One Fare when connecting with participating transit agencies including GO Transit and paying with PRESTO (tapping with a physical PRESTO card, digital PRESTO card in Mobile Wallet or credit or debit card). If you’re travelling on TransHelp, while PRESTO is not available you still qualify for free travel using One Fare and will not be charged a fare when connecting with participating transit agencies including GO Transit. Planned accessibility upgrades at Long Branch GO Station

Construction is currently underway to transform Long Branch GO Station. Upgrades will include:

  • New east and west pedestrian access tunnel with elevators and stairs to the platform.
  • New east and west entrance building with washrooms and waiting area.
  • Revisions to the parking lot, including pedestrian walkways, a passenger pick-up and drop-off area.
  • Rehabilitated platforms with snow-melting system and heated shelters.
  • Track work to enable future electrification of GO trains.

These upgrades are essential to bringing the GO Expansion program to life, helping us deliver faster, more frequent, and reliable service.
